Following the success of the Hamble Cup event on 7th June, Club sailors took part in a Summer Solstice round-the-cans race. Once again, we were blessed with sunshine and a pleasant 10-14 knot breeze. The course took the 21 boats from the Hamble on a 12-mile course anti-clockwise round the Bramble Bank. After 2 hours of very close racing with the first 7 places separated by just 3 minutes, Mike and Sarah Wallis' J122, Jahmali, emerged as the winner with Rob Bottomley's MAT12, Sailplane, second and Mike Yates' J109, Jago, third.
A full entry list is also expected for the next event in the series on 4th July.
Our App enables the sailors to have the boat´s performance tracked live and to be able to review the performance later on. The app can be complemented by a tracking device that you can have on your boat.
