A “pop up” VR evening has been organised between Royal Cork Yacht Club & Royal Thames Yacht Club next Wednesday 8th July 2020 with FG at 19:45hrs.
It is proposed to have two racecourses running with ten sailors from each club in each race. Having done our research, they are very good both on the water and in Virtual Sailing so we need to put forward our best two teams.
To make things more interesting we will have Hugh Styles, British Sailing Team Olympic Coach, who will be hosting a Zoom call and will be commentating on the evenings Virtual Racing and providing some tactical advice that can be brought back onto the water. We would also welcome spectators & will share both the Zoom call and the Race passwords closer to the race on the RCYC Website.

Our App enables the sailors to have the boat´s performance tracked live and to be able to review the performance later on. The app can be complemented by a tracking device that you can have on your boat.
